Thank you for your interest in auditioning for Greenbrier Valley Theatre's 2026 season and mainly for The Greenbrier Ghost! This production will be directed by Courtney Susman-Frye. In addition to community and youth actors, this production will feature professional actors.
We encourage all community and youth actors who are interested to audition for the show. As with any musical, being cast in The Greenbrier Ghost is a large time commitment that requires total support from both actor and family. We encourage families to look closely at their personal schedule and make sure there is adequate time for summer activities, rest, and family time before committing to the musical.
Not everyone who auditions will be cast, however due to scheduling conflicts younger roles may be double cast. Please click here for a list of the available roles. Additionally, there may be opportunities for community members to be in other shows during our 2026 season.
Rehearsals:
The first rehearsal for The Greenbrier Ghost will be an All Call (full cast) on Tuesday, June 16. During this rehearsal, we will meet the cast and creative team, hand out scripts, do a read through of the entire play, and begin learning songs.
Rehearsals for youth and community actors are usually held from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on weekdays with hourly character breakdowns and on Saturday and Sunday afternoons (usually from 1:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.). It is likely that adult actors will be called as late as 10p.m. on weekdays and 7:30p.m. on weekends. The full cast may not be called for every rehearsal. Attendance is important as we will be incorporating acting, singing, and dancing. Monday will always be a day off from rehearsals and performances.
A detailed rehearsal schedule will be emailed out mid-June. This schedule won’t be ready until we have compiled all actor conflicts, thrown in a little magic, and created a schedule where we have worked around most of the conflicts. We do our very best to schedule around disclosed conflicts. Please note, recurring undisclosed conflicts and arriving late to multiple rehearsals may take you out of scenes because the show must go on.
There will be several To Be Announced (TBA) rehearsals listed. As we move forward in the rehearsal process, some scenes, songs, and dances will need extra rehearsal time. We won’t know what that will be until we are in rehearsals. You should expect to attend TBA rehearsals until a detailed schedule is sent out no later than 48 hours prior to that rehearsal.
