Warren Anderson
Candidate Introduction
I may be a little different than most people who are running; normal working man who needed a normal person; got in race because decided we needed someone in Congress that wasn’t a politician, wasn’t a lawyer; need to get back to when normal people could be in Congress making laws, like it used to be 100 years ago when we didn’t have all these professional politicians; lived in this area for the past 45 years; have been involved in the Democratic party; worked for McGoven in 72; just the average guy that looked at the need and saw that we needed someone other than what I was seeing running for Congress.

Opening: I'm a fiscal conservative. We need tax fairness. Medical costs are out of line. Cutting costs and waste. Social security. Secure Roe vs Wade. Rural broadband.
On healthcare: Talks about his medical bill, problem is waste. We need good medical insurance.
On climate crisis: more fuel efficient vehicles, better technology and the Internet, working with small
On Roe v. Wade: A woman has right to make choices about her own medical decisions. Women's rights are human rights.
On education: two years free higher ed, talks about his grandson. Getting rid of student loan debt... For the lower incomes. A lot of that debt is for vacations.
On gun violence: we need longer jail sentences for felons. Second Amendment. Back ground checks.
Closing remarks: this district needs a moderate
Marijuana: I believe in decriminalize small amounts of marijuana for personal use but I think for legalizing we must have a easier way to test for impaired motor vehicle use. We need to make sure people understand the costs to them for Driving while impaired.
