Elementary Registration

Thank you for beginning the process of enrolling your student with Gunnison Watershed School District. Below are the instructions to complete the enrollment process with PowerSchool. 

Please note, kindergarten students entering the 2024/2025 school year will need to be 5 years old by August 1st, 2024. We do require a copy your child's birth certificate and immunization records.

Step 1: Pre-Registration

Please fill out and submit the pre-registration form. Please note, enrollment is not complete until you finish Step 4. 

Step 2: Approval

You will receive an email that your pre-registration submission has been successfully submitted and another email once it is approved and accepted. The approval email will direct you to set up a parent portal PowerSchool account. The access ID and password included in this email will be used AFTER you create a parent account to link your account to your student.

 

Step 3: Set up a PowerSchool Account

1.) Go to https://ps.gunnisonschools.net/public

2.) Click on Create Account Tab:

3.) Fill in the information requested for your desired username and password.

4.) Under “Link Student to Account” enter your student's full name, Access ID and Password provided in the approval email in Step 2.

 

Step 4: Complete Enrollment Forms

The remainder of your student enrollment forms will be found in your account. Please complete all of the forms under “New Student Registration” (Click on form title from website to complete).

1.) Log into your parent account

2.) Click the “Forms” tab in the left hand navigation menu.

3.) Choose the Enrollment Tab in the horizontal navigation bar.


You will know a form is complete when the leaf on the right hand side goes from blue empty to green submitted or yellow pending leaf. Some forms may turn to yellow pending if they require school approval. You can submit forms as many times as you need to correct or update the information.
