Our library checkout policies are arranged by division below. If you require additional information or have any questions please email Mrs. Wyzskowski.
Check out Policy - Primary students typically check out books under their teacher's name and are kept in the classroom. SK students will take a book home during their animals project. These books are checked out under their name and will be given a one month checkout time. If materials are one month overdue Destiny marks them as "lost", parents are emailed, and the students' account is charged accordingly. Any outstanding fines or books will prevent students from checking out additional materials. Lost book payment is made by check made out to "Gulliver Preparatory". Any outstanding charges or library materials at the end of the year will result in student(s) not receiving their yearbook.
You may visit the library with your student before or after school where we are happy to checkout books to take home for one week.
Age Appropriate Materials - Our library is divided into two physical spaces under one roof. Middle School books, a.k.a. Young Adult books, are in a separate physical area from Primary and Lower School section. Primary students are encouraged to check out books in the "E" (easy reader) and non-fiction sections. All books in the Lower school area are appropriate for students ages three to eleven.
Check out Policy - Lower School students visit the library weekly as a class and may also visit as needed/wanted with a teacher pass. Check out length for library materials is one week. If students do not bring materials back on time our library system, Destiny, sends an email to the student and parents with a friendly reminder that the materials are past due.
