GST 119. Learning Lab. This course helps students build the essential skills for academic success in college. Topics include managing your GPA and time effectively, developing strong reading and learning strategies, navigating the writing process, and mastering note-taking and test preparation techniques. Students will also take greater ownership of their education by setting goals, staying organized, and developing a proactive mindset.
All GST 119 courses follow these campus-wide outcomes:
Identify your strengths and challenges as a learner through journal writing and self-assessment.
Learn and practice self-management through the use of tools, such as weekly planners and semester calendars.
Practice a variety of study skills and learning methods, applying those that are effective for your education.
This course is for ANYONE and has zero prerequisites.
