STEM Literacy For All

As humans progress into a new age of innovation, STEM literacy is going to be more important than ever. It is clear that most jobs of the future will require a basic understanding of math and science. The National Science Foundation asserts that “ to succeed in this new information-based and highly technological society, students need to develop their capabilities in STEM to levels much beyond what was considered acceptable in the past.” However, low income and disadvantaged children do not have the STEM resources to achieve this essential milestone. That is why my project aims to provide these types of schools in my community with tools needed to ensure that STEM can reach everyone.
