It's hard to gauge how much time I spent on the season finale, The End of the Beginning: I spent the majority of the time, over the few weeks I'd been assigned the project to think about how my experience in learning Chinese was. There were so many different softwares I used, I was trying to recall every single one!
In the end, I just ended up deciding that trying to come up with every single thing I used had no relevance or benefit in the listener hearing. All you need to know is that they weren't reliable or authentic.
There were many areas I wasn't able to cover in my podcast. I might even go as far as to say that a podcast episode wouldn't have been appropriate, but rather a documentary. Though I do believe I have some talent in video editing, it was just natural for me to come up with a podcast episode, since that's what I'm doing at the moment.
I failed to cover how I study, or much of the present. I failed to give an in depth explanation on what the future looks like for me. These are all topics I am happy to cover, but I think they deserve their own episode or journal post!
I believe my communication and storytelling skills are where they need to be at the moment, but there is plenty of room for improvement there. I think I need to be more focused when I tell a story. Give an anecdote, describing one event and how it affects my whole experience; that way I can have a defined, specific theme.
