The fines related to Chromebooks reflect the cost to replace or repair. The fines are subject to increase or decrease based on the actual costs. However, based on the information provided from the district to our school in October 2016, fines were:
- Entire Chromebook: $230
- Motherboard: $100
- Lost/damaged charger: $13
- Cracked/damaged screen: $31
- This was by far the most common fine. We saw a lot of cracked screens last year.
- This fee is more for touch screens.
- Broken hinges: $15 per hinge
- Trackpad: no charge
- Keyboard: $18
- Chromebook body: $25
