Makerspace

General Information

The Makerspace is your space to explore your creativity. Use the paper, glue, boxes, electronics, string, markers, colored pencils, and more! It's all there for you to use. Nearly all of the materials and tools that you see in the makerspace are free for you to use (only the button makers cost money to use--see below).

So, explore and tinker and create! Simply clean up after yourself!

Button Templates

Create buttons for $.50 each!

Button-making classes are offered on Tuesdays at 2:45. If you already know how to make buttons, you will need to show Mrs. Jackson or Ms. Jajo your skills before doing it on your own.

You are welcome to use the designs supplied in the Makerspace, or design your own buttons using one of the templates on this page.

Be sure to share your copy with Mrs. Jackson (tanjackson@guhsd.net) in order to print your design in color.

3D Printer

You can use our 3D printer for free to print files that you edited/created. To do this, you need to learn the basics about 3D printing and you need to be able to edit and create 3D printable file formats (such as .stl files). Join TinkerCAD (see the button below) by signing up for a free account and follow their tutorials for editing 3D files.

Once you've created a 3D printable file, download it to your Chromebook, then upload it to your Google Drive. Then, talk to Mrs. Jackson about transferring your file from your Google Drive to the 3D printer!
