Choosing the Right RAM Slot: A Simple Guide for Better Performance


When upgrading or building a computer, installing memory seems straightforward—just plug the RAM sticks into the slots on the motherboard. However, using the correct slots is crucial for unlocking your system's full performance. Most modern motherboards have two or four RAM slots, and they are not all equal.
