The Government of Guam Mawar Disaster Relief Center has been created for Typhoon Mawar affected households to connect them to services that will resolve any remaining unmet needs they are faced with. The office is funded through a FEMA "Disaster Case Management" Program Grant.

Who is eligible for assistance from the program?

ALL GUAM RESIDENTS can apply with the Mawar DRC as long as they have been affected and continue to encounter unmet needs as a result of Typhoon Mawar.

What are examples of "unmet needs"?

Some examples of unmet needs are:

If you are still experiencing barriers such as these due to the typhoon, you can come to the Mawar Disaster Relief Center and we will work with you to connect you with the needed services to recover from the effects of Typhoon Mawar.

Does this program provide money or monetary assistance benefits to applicants?

No. The DCM case workers will assess your situation and help you navigate to the services you may need to aid in your recovery. A service plan can be created to help you or your household connect to needed services and ultimately recover from Typhoon Mawar.

The program will not pay for home repairs, compensation for property loss, loss of wages or any other damages.
