Please complete the permission form on PowerSchool. We will need volunteers to accompany us! Please let us know on the permission form on PowerSchool if you can volunteer. We will contact the volunteers who have been selected to assist!
English Language Arts & Literacy (ELAL):
Reading: This week, we will be focusing on perspectives in texts.
Writing: Students will start learning about figurative language.
Math: This week, students will continue multiplication.
Students are practicing to use the standard algorithm to solve 3-digit by 2-digit numbers. Here is a video that explains the standard algorithm for anyone who wants to practice at home.
For students who find the steps of the standard algorithm confusing, I recommend this method. We have practiced it in class, and students can choose which method they are most successful with.
Science: We are continuing our Space unit. This week, we are learning about the moon.
Social Studies: Students are exploring the government structures of ancient civilizations. We are learning about authoritarian governments.
Math: On Wednesday, students will have a short quiz to check their understanding of long multiplication.
