In Unit 1 Lesson 3, students learn strategies for guarding against identity theft and scams that try to access their personal information online.
Below you will find the complete lesson plan packet as well as the student sheets separated into individual files for easy reproducing, or you can copy them to your Drive and then share them through Google Classroom.
Also, you will find supplementary material that has been prepared to make implementing the lesson much easier.
All lessons are used freely through Common Sense Media and Common Sense Education.
Teacher Materials and Preparation:
- Review the lesson plan and Nearpod presentation to familiarize yourself with the activities and keywords. Worksheet activities maybe included in the Nearpod presentation.
- Paper and markers or colored pencils (or computers if you are using the high tech option in Teach 3)
- Copies of the Spotting Scams Student Handout, one for each student
