To promote amphibian conservation, Teacher Cheng-En Li speaks at various places, ranging from schools at all levels to kindergartens and farmers' associations. He has delivered as many as 300 to 400 speeches. Sometimes, he uses booths or games to help the public understand concepts related to frog conservation, sparking their motivation for conservation and encouraging them to care about Taiwan's ecological environment. In addition to giving speeches, Teacher Li also conducts species surveys in the wild and publishes the data in books or journals.
Every year, Taiwan's Forestry and Nature Conservation Administration selects and recognizes individuals and volunteer groups for their contributions to forestry. They hold award ceremonies to honor them. This year, the Taiwan Amphibian Conservation Association, where Teacher Cheng-En Li works, received the "Wildlife Life Model Award" from the Forestry and Nature Conservation Administration. The association has been engaged in long-term frog conservation surveys, and the accumulated data can serve as a reference for government decision-making or as ecological assessment indicators. Moreover, the association dedicates a significant amount of effort to educational outreach activities, so it can earn recognition from the Forestry and Nature Conservation Administration.
