Gear Up 2 Scholarship

· Deadline for applications and FAFSAs is March 1.

· For students graduating from high school in 2017 or 2018.

· Recipients must have participated in Gear Up during the grant years of Fall 2011 to Spring 2018 at an eligible school district.

· Must enroll full-time at an eligible Idaho college or university.

Idaho Governor’s Cup Scholarship – Academic

· We manage the applications for this program only. Award decisions are made by the Governor’s Cup staff.

· Deadline February 15

· Requires 2.8 GPA, graduating senior of an Idaho high school, essay, strong public service/volunteerism experience.

· Must go into a non-career/technical education associate’s degree or be seeking a bachelor’s degree.

Idaho Governor’s Cup Scholarship – Career/Technical

· We manage the applications for this program only. Award decisions are made by the Governor’s Cup staff.

· Same requirements as Academic but must be going into a career/technical program that leads to a credential such as Technical Certificate, Advanced Technical Certificate, or Associates of Applied Science.

· Deadline last year was later: March 15 (I’m checking to see if this will be the same this year)

Opportunity Scholarship

· Deadline for applications and FAFSAs is March 1.

· Students must attend the first semester after high school graduation.

· Students’ cumulative unweighted GPA must be at least a 3.00.

· This scholarship will be “auto-matched” this year, meaning all students have to do is complete the general application and select “yes” on the question that will ask if they are interested in applying for the Opportunity scholarship. Again, applicants will not need to complete a separate application for Opportunity this year, just the general application.

Postsecondary Credit Scholarship

· For students who have earned at least 10 postsecondary credits while in high school.

· Students must obtain a competitive matching scholarship that is merit-based (meaning the program must have a minimum GPA or test score) from a business or industry.
