"Investing in teachers to invest in the future of learning."

The STEM-CS Project is a research grant funded by the Education Innovation and Research Program of the U.S. Department of Education and coordinated by GRREC. This project is a partnership between GRREC, the U.S. Satellite Laboratory collaborating with NASA through a Space Act Agreement, Western Kentucky University, Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College, and participating GRREC school districts. The purpose of this endeavor is to support high school and middle school STEM teachers by enhancing their educational practice through targeted professional learning opportunities. STEM-CS teacher participants have the option to obtain a Master’s degree for dual-credit certification, Micro-credentials, or National Board Certification. Additionally, all participants will take advanced graduate level coursework to earn a STEM Leadership Certificate from U.S. Satellite's Endeavor STEM Teaching Certificate Project. STEM-CS teachers will engage in curriculum redesign and targeted on-going professional learning to better support the learning needs of their students.

Project Goals:
