In January, the Grinnell-Newburg Community School District (GNCSD) was presented with a generous land donation from the Ahrens Park Foundation and the Claude & Dolly Ahrens Foundation for the construction of a new elementary school. This gift is contingent upon the approval of the Voted-PPEL Referendum on March 4, 2025.

On January 22nd, Julie Gosselink and Chad Nath presented the offer of a gift of land on behalf of the Ahrens Park Foundation and the Claude & Dolly Ahrens Foundation for the construction of a new elementary school as well as other property.
This generous gift is subject to the approval of the Voted-PPEL Referendum currently before the district's constituents. The vote on this referendum is set for March 4, 2025.
The district wishes to thank the Claude W. and Dolly Ahrens Foundation, the Ahrens Park Foundation and the Ahrens family for their consideration and presentation of this generous gift.
