Course Outline: NCEA Level 3 History teaches students how to critically appraise past events using a range of thinking tools. The topics studied this year will include significant themes in 19th Century history from a local perspective and then an exploration of these themes within the wider New Zealand society.

Assessment: Components of this course will be selected from the standards shown in the Assessment Statement below. The topics for the two internal standards will be chosen to suit individual learning needs and interests. To gain 14 credits for University Entrance students will need to complete an externally assessed standard.
