This is an overview of the stages of cellular respiration including where they are located as well as information about Fermentation
Glycolysis takes place in the Cytosol/Cytoplasm of the Cell. It is the breakdown of a Glucose molecule to a Pyruvate Molecule. Net ATP=2
The Krebs Cycle takes place in the Mitochondria and its sole purpose is to generate NADH, FADH2, & ATP through the break down of citric acid
The ETC is located in the inner mitochondrial membrane and its sole purpose is to generate massive quantities of ATP to power the cell.
