When does the Read-a-Thon begin and end?

Students begin fundraising Monday, April 12th and begin logging their reading minutes on Monday, April 19th. Our Read-a-Thon will end on Wednesday, May 5th.

What do I need to do to participate?

• First, with your parent's permission, visit www.read-a-thon.com/readers and enter the code you received from your LIFT teacher.

• Second, use the online tools to tell friends and family about our Read-a-Thon in order to try to raise money for our Media Center.

• Third, track and log your reading sessions on your profile page.

How do I win prizes?

• You will receive a prize just for creating your profile! Students can choose from candy, masks, button coupons, pens, and more!

• If you send at least 10 emails (from your profile page) to family and friends to ask for their support, and use your profile page's online tools to share the fundraiser on Facebook you will receive ticket for a free ice cream or shaved ice!

• Get THREE donations and win a sweet treat, poster AND a free book!

• The class with the most donations will win a pizza party! The class with the most reading minutes logged for the whole school will also win a pizza party.

• The grade with the most donations will win popcorn and free time!

• Gift cards will be given throughout the weeks to students who log the most reading minutes and/or who have the most donations.

What books can I read?

Anything! Magazines, chapter books, picture books, audiobooks, eBooks, teacher read alouds...it ALL counts!

How do we raise money?

You raise money from sponsors who support your reading efforts. Sponsors are people like friends and family who care about your education. You get the most sponsors by using the free tools that include tutorials, email campaigns, Facebook, Twitter and other social media. This can all be found on your profile page!

What are we fundraising for?

All proceeds will go toward remodeling the library for our "Grand Reopening" next school year. This year, we have not been able to fully utilize our space because of COVID, so next year, we want to draw our students back in with a special re-opening!

How can my business help?

The Read-a-Thon is the perfect place for local businesses to place ads! Every time one of our readers logs in to their personal dashboard, they will see your business ad just for sponsoring our fundraiser.
