The Nail Technology program is designed to prepare and train students to take a state exam in order to receive and become a licensed professional. Nail Tech students receive training in the art and science of the care and beautification of nails. The course of study includes instruction in diseases and disorders, chemistry, biology, and anatomy and physiology of the arms, hands, and feet. Manicures, pedicures, tips, sculptures, gel, and wraps are incorporated by means of theory and practical application on both mannequins and live models. Also included in the course of study is salon planning and management. The students will get the opportunity to work with salon professionals through job shadowing and co-op experiences. Will have the means to network with veterans in the industry through the means of trade shows, guest speakers, and field trips.

Associated Fees: $275 Kit fee Due September 25th *This fee does not include the state board exam fee of $175 nor the $15 SkillsUSA membership fee.

*We also attend other trips throughout the school year which are subject to fees. Currently, at this time field trips are not allowed. Many opportunities will have to be performed virtually.
