I would like share a little about myself.  I am a graduate of Ashland University located in Ashland Ohio.  I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education (K-12). I have been teaching for 33 years. I serve as Director of Choirs at Easley Union Missionary Baptist Church. As a result of continuing my education, I received Elementary Education certification from Akron University located in Akron, Ohio.  In addition, I completed the work for my Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Bowling Green State University located in Bowling Green, Ohio. I received my Doctor of Education Degree from Walden University with a specialization in Teacher Leadership. I am also an highly qualified teacher.

          My career includes the role of elementary teacher in public schools for the past 33 years.  I served as a teacher for seven years in Lorain City Schools, Lorain, Ohio.  During my years there, I worked in various leadership roles which included Title 1 Reading Specialist, Building Manager, Magnet Resource Coordinator, Testing Coordinator, and Safety Patrol advisor.  

  I moved to South Carolina twenty-four years ago from Lorain, Ohio. I was blessed and married (Kenny) a wonderful man with unwavering faith in God.  I have two sons, Kevin and DeWayne, one daughter, LaKendra, and seven grandchildren.  I am very excited to be a part of your child's education.  

          I am pleased to have represented ENSA as the 2012-2013 teacher of the year.
