I started my career in education as a math teacher at White Pine Middle School in Saginaw, Michigan, where I served on the School Improvement Team, was Chair of the Math Department, and inspired my students to put forth their best efforts and take calculated risks when solving problems. After eight years as a classroom teacher, I began working with the Institute for Excellence in Education, where I provided PD and Instructional Coaching to hundreds of educators in dozens of school districts in Michigan, nationwide, and even internationally. My family and I moved to Greenville in 2020 when I began working with the South Carolina Department of Education as a Transformation Coach, providing guidance to school leaders, teachers, and other school personnel with an intense focus on school improvement efforts. Next year will be my second year as a Title I Math Specialist with Greenville County Schools. I consider middle level education my sweet spot, so I feel privileged to serve as the Co-Chair for the SC Schools to Watch program and as a SCAMLE Board member. I’m very much looking forward to continuing to support students and teachers at Lakeview and embarking on our new ELEVATE journey together! 

It is with great enthusiasm that I serve the community of Lakeview Middle School! I hold a Masters in Education Leadership and Mathematics Specialization endorsement,Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies in Education with a Cross Cultural Language and Academic Support certificate.  I have 19+ years of educational experience including elementary, middle, and high school. 

As a career educator, I have demonstrated a commitment to three things: 1) academic excellence, 2) bridging school and local community, and 3) instilling a sense of efficacy among all students and teachers.  I have dedicated my career to each of these pursuits. I want to continue leveraging my passion and commitment to the students, staff, and district!
