Riverside High School ~ The Warrior Press ~ Volume 4, Edition 22 ~ Wednesday, January 3, 2024
The Spring Semester of the 2023-24 School Year begins on Thursday, January 4. Students need to attend their classes listed in their Backpack. Please check your Backpack account for your 2nd Second Semester Classes. Students also need to bring any 1st Semester Textbooks to turn in as 2nd Semester Textbooks will be distributed starting on Thursday. We look forward to seeing all of our students back for the 2nd Semester on Thursday!
We want to make everyone aware of a new cell phone policy that will go into effect January 4th when student return.
Effective January 4, 2024, all Greenville County High Schools will implement a cellphone-free policy. The policy states that personal electronic devices cannot be used by students in classrooms during the instructional day. (Electronic devices include but are not limited to cell phones, earbuds...etc.)
All personal devices must remain out of sight of others during this time. Students may use personal electronic devices during class changes, lunch, and other times outside of the classroom during the instructional day unless directed differently by the principal or principal’s designee.
The instructional day for high schools is between the hours of 8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
For the purpose of inclement weather days, eLearning is defined as live instruction throughout the day. This live instruction may be with a whole group, small group, and/or individual sessions. Students are expected to log on to their live instruction through their Google Classroom (or SeeSaw for younger grades) during inclement weather days. If students are unable to join the live meets due to power loss, sickness, etc., work must be made up within five days of returning to school. Parent/students can download any assignments from Google Classroom and work on them offline by following the offline directions (English | Spanish).
