About Mrs. Arnold...

I am originally from Cheraw, South Carolina.  My family moved to Fountain Inn when I was in the 4th grade, so I call the Greenville area home.  I graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1993.  In 1998, I received my Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education from Clemson University. GO TIGERS!  This will be my 27th year of teaching at Mauldin Elementary.  I have taught kindergarten 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades.

I am excited to be teaching another year in third grade and look forward to growing my students into their very best selves this year!  3rd grade is a big year of learning and growth. It's also the students' first year for SCReady state testing. But don't worry, everything we do will have them prepped and ready to tackle it in the spring!

I have had some big and exciting changes this year! Many have known me as "Ms. Gemmell", but On April 26, 2025 that changed!  I married my very best friend, Chris, and became MRS. ARNOLD!  Together, we have four children. Addison (19)  will be starting her sophmore year at Anderson University.  Ava (19) will be starting her sophomore year at Furman University. Liam (15) will be a sophmore at Riverside High, and Madi (13) will be starting 8th grade at Riverside Middle.  They keep us on our toes, laughing, and constantly on the go!  We also have two fur babies, Renny and Rowie (aka "Tootie").

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to church, the gym, running, being outdoors, cooking out, and spending time on Lake Keowee and the beach.

A fun fact about me is Mrs. Bryson (also teaches 3rd grade) is my sister-in-law, so I get to work with family!
