Accelerate Program Application Now Open!
Delivered by the South Carolina Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics and its college partners, Accelerate is a virtual engineering program that allows students to live at home and continue at their local schools while taking high-quality online courses in mathematics, science, engineering, and English. Accelerate classes are live, not pre-recorded, and are presented virtually through computer and teleconferencing equipment that is provided and maintained by GSSM.

The Coolidge Scholarship
The Coolidge Scholarship is an annually awarded, full-ride, presidential scholarship that covers a student’s tuition, room, board, and expenses for four years of undergraduate study.
This one-of-a-kind scholarship may be used at any accredited college or university in the U.S.
Any High School Junior who plans to enroll in college in the fall of 2020 and is an American Citizen or legal permanent resident is eligible to apply. Deadline is Wednesday, January 23rd. Please click the link here for more details!

The counseling office would like to welcome our new counselors for the 2018-2019 school year. We are excited for Vaneasha Danzy and Elizabeth Hayes to join our team. They bring with them a wealth of knowledge and a passion to help our students be successful.

She is coming to us courtesy of Clemson University, and we are excited about the opportunities to learn she will have here at JL Mann. NACAC National College Fair
Free and open to the public, NACAC fairs connect you to hundreds of collees and universities in one location. The fair will be on March 16th from 1:00pm-4:00pm at Furman University - Timmons Arena. Please see the flyer below for more details.
HBCU STEAM College Fair
HBCU STEAM College Fair on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 10:00-2:00. The event will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Simpsonville. This is also part of King Legacy Week. Please see the flyer below for more information and events.
Urban League of the Upstate Essay Writing Workshop
Join The Urban League of the Upstate and the Trio Program of Clemson for an essay writing workshop. Students who are completing college applications or applying for scholarships should definitely make sure to attend this workshop to receive hands-on help from experts in college application and scholarship essays.
This workshop is for students only. Please register under the name of the student who will be in attendance.

ACE Awards Nominations Open October 15th!
ACEC Awards are given to 72 male and female students from each of the 35 Greenville County middle and high schools and are designed to honor true “unsung heroes” who all too often are not recognized for their accomplishments. While going relatively unnoticed, these students still have accomplished great things in their community, church or school.
