Online Summer S&C Courses Through Winthrop University

Winthrop University Sports Performance Professional Development Graduate Courses

Courses are 100% online, asynchronous (self-paced) with optional live check-ins throughout the course.

Course 1: Advanced Strength Training & Conditioning Cert Preparation (May 17 – Aug 13)

This course prepares individuals for the content relative to a nationally accredited exam in strength and conditioning (NSCA CSCS exam). This class covers the scientific foundations and practical application of training athletes. The course will be available for individuals to complete faster if desired. The exam is not required to pass the course.

Must register by May 10, 2021 *If dates are an issue, but you would like the course, please email me.*

Course 2: Corrective Exercise Content & Application (June 1 – July 15)

This course investigates corrective exercise techniques and prescription for movement patterns. Great for athletic coaches, strength coaches, personal trainers, physical therapists and athletic trainers as a great continuing education course or advanced certification preparation. The exam is not required to pass the course.

Must register by May 25, 2021 *If dates are an issue, but you would like the course, please email me.*

Fee: $350 per course (each course is 3-graduate credit hours – fully online; asynchronous; self-paced)

Coach Caton started his career at Elon University in 2003 and most recently worked at Syracuse University as the Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach for Football. This week we feature Coach Josh McClure at Winder-Barrow HS in Winder, GA. In addition to being the strength coach at W-BHS, Coach McClure owns and operates McClure Sports. If you want to learn more about speed and agility development, Coach McClure is your guy!
