I was born on December 22 and grew up in a small town named Santee. It is about 2.5 hours away from Greenville.

Earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood from the University of South Carolina Aiken.

Started my teaching career at St. James-Gaillard Elementary as a 2nd grade teacher. I loved it! As I approached my 3rd year, my principal moved me to Kindergarten. I cried! LOL

Then, I decided my 2nd or 3rd year of teaching to go back to school. I received my Master's Degree from Grand Canyon University in Curriculum and Instruction: Emphasis in Elementary Reading. Continued teaching at SJG until I wanted to change cities.

I moved to Greenville in 2017 for a change of scenery and to learn from other professionals.

Started my 7th year of teaching at my new home, Sterling School, as one of the Kindergarten Teachers. 

And now here we are, year 13 of teaching and 3rd year in 1st grade! 

I've realized change can be unexpected but great! It allows me to continue to grow in my career. I am excited to get the year started! I can't wait to see all of "my kids" smiling faces as they become a part of my family and my life forever!
