Hello and welcome!
My name is Milanys “Mila” Tavarez, but my students know me as Ms. T. I am excited to be joining the Lakeview community this year!
This is my fifth year teaching Social Studies. I previously taught high school courses including Modern World History, Sociology, Government, and Human Geography.
Originally from Puerto Rico, I have lived in South Carolina for the past 15 years. I'm excited to be joining Lakeview's strong Hispanic community and to get to know my students and their families.
I am new to Greenville and I’m excited to explore the Upstate. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy board games, trivia nights, building LEGO sets, exploring local coffee shops, and watching movies and TV shows.
I look forward to a wonderful school year!

Mi nombre es Milanys “Mila” Tavarez, pero mis estudiantes me conocen como Ms. T. ¡Estoy muy emocionada de ser parte de la comunidad de Lakeview este año!
Este será mi quinto año enseñando Estudios Sociales. Anteriormente enseñé Historia Mundial, Sociología, Gobierno y Geografía Humana en escuela superior.
Nací en Puerto Rico y llevo 15 años viviendo en Carolina del Sur. Me emociona formar parte de la comunidad hispana de Lakeview y conocer a nuestros estudiantes y sus familias.
Soy nueva en Greenville y encantada de poder explorar el Upstate. Fuera del salón de clases, disfruto los juegos de mesa, las noches de trivia, construir con LEGO, descubrir nuevos lugares de café y ver películas y series.
