Ms. Katie Thul

Hi Lakeview Community! My name is Katie Thul and I am a sixth year teacher originally from Iowa. I received my bachelors degree in elementary education with a reading endorsement from the University of Iowa in May of 2020 (yes, I was student teaching when COVID-19 hit!) and in 2022, I completed my Masters of Education in teacher leadership from Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. An interesting fact about me is that competition dance has been a huge part of my life since the age of six either as an athlete myself or coaching athletes of my own!🤸 When I'm not dancing or teaching, I'm at the gym or hanging out with my pup.🐶 I am excited to continue to be a part of the Lakeview community because I have a deep passion for instilling the same love of learning in my students as I have for myself! I look forward to growing with you at Lakeview! Go Lions!🦁
