Welcome to my science class!
I have been teaching science for 29 years and truly love my job.
I obtained my degree in Science Education and my Doctorate degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Southeastern University. I also hold two M.Ed. degrees. The first is in Gifted and Talented Education from Converse University and the second is in School Leadership and Administration from the University of South Carolina.
I teach 6th- and 7th-grade science. My classes are typically "hands-on" accompanied by traditional teaching methods where problem-based learning, technology, literacy, mathematics, inquiry, and the arts are infused within the lessons when appropriate.
I love learning new things and reading. I also enjoy coaching students in a virtual STEAM competition: eCybermission!
I look forward to a wonderful school year!
