All students are expected to abide by the classroom rules at all times or the instructor will issue appropriate consequences at their discretion.
A distraction is defined as any behavior or action that the instructor must stop what they are doing to address.
Consequences are to be determined on a case by case basis at the instructor's discretion. Consequences may include:
1 to 1 conference with student
Parent contact
Lunch detention
Referral
Consequences:

Referral
Instructors reserve the right to determine the best course of action on a student by student basis.
English 2: This is an EOC course. It is the responsibility of the instructor to ensure students are prepared for the exam at the end of the course. Sleeping during instructional time negatively impacts student EOC outcomes and will be dealt with accordingly.
Out of respect for those who clean our classroom each night, canned drinks are not permitted in the classroom.
Students who bring open canned drinks to class will be asked to finish or throw away the beverage.
Quiet, prepackaged items only.
We respectfully ask that students try to avoid bringing in allergens such as nuts, strawberries, etc.
If food becomes a distraction, students will lose the privilege of eating during class.
Games include Gimkits or Blookets that have not been assigned by the instructor for that class period.
Students should only view YouTube videos that have been shared by the instructor.
Student athletes are not permitted to watch tapes of their competition during class time.
The classroom is intended to mimic a professional space which requires students to use professional language.
Swearing in ANY language is not permitted.
