Hello and welcome! My name is Mrs. Tucker, and I’m excited to be teaching you this year. Mathematics (and Finance) is more than just shapes and formulas—it’s about logic, reasoning, and discovering the patterns that make up the world around us. I look forward to helping students build a strong foundation in mathematical thinking.
In our class, every student begins with a clean slate and the opportunity to grow through practice, participation, and persistence. I believe in creating a supportive and respectful environment where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and try again. Growth happens when we work together—students, teachers, and families.
Please know that I am committed to giving my best each day and supporting you every step of the way. I welcome communication and value the partnership between home and school in helping students succeed.
Let’s make this a great year in Mathematics!
I graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and from Webster University with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. After working in the corporate world, I took time away from my career to raise our children as they attended and graduated from Greenville County Schools (GCS). During that time, I volunteered in their schools. For five years, I also worked for GCS as an adjunct presenter at Roper Mountain Science Center’s Symms Hall of Science. These experiences gave me a unique perspective on GCS—as a parent, volunteer, community educator, and now teacher. I believe in Greenville County Schools and am excited to be part of the GCS family. I completed the GATE (Graduate Alternative Teaching Education) program through Greenville County Schools and the South Carolina Department of Education to earn my teaching credentials. Entering my fourth year, I am excited to continue my quest to spark a love of math in each of my students. For more information about the GATE program, please visit the Greenville County Schools GATE Program.
