1st Grade MLP
This year I will be working in 3 1st grade classrooms in order to provide an extra level of support and instruction during reading, writing and language arts lessons. Throughout our lessons we will practice speaking, writing, interacting, reading and listening (SWIRL).

About me
I was born in the Netherlands and Dutch is my first language. I learned English at the age of 10, before moving to Atlanta, Georgia. My husband and I have two children, ages 17 and 20. After living in five different states together, we are here to stay in his home town of Greenville. This is my 8th year teaching MLP, and 18th year as an educator. I love being here at Monaview!
I graduated from the University of Georgia with a BS in Early Childhood Education, and a minor in French. I hold Global TESOL certification earned from the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education and have completed the ESOL course of study through graduate classes from USC Aiken. I am highly qualified to teach PK-6th grade, as designated by the state of SC, with the added ESOL endorsement.
