MEET MRS. MAHON

Hello and welcome!
My name is Camila Mahon, and I’m absolutely thrilled to be your child’s kindergarten teacher this year! This will be my fifth year teaching kindergarten, and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else — it’s truly my passion.

Before becoming a teacher, I earned my Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from Greenville Technical College and worked as a paralegal for five years. But my heart kept pulling me toward education, so I returned to school and earned my B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Converse College in May of 2020.

My husband, Weston, and I live in Simpsonville with our two sweet girls, Isla (5) and Emily (2), and our golden retriever, Knox. As a family, we love spending time with relatives and friends, and we look forward to cheering on the Clemson Tigers every fall!

A few of my favorite things? Coffee, puzzles, music, and the beach! I can’t wait to get to know your child and partner with you to make this a wonderful and exciting year of growth and learning!

MEET MRS. SAVAGE

Hello Families! My name is Kristy Savage and I can’t wait to work with your child this school year! I am excited to be Mrs. Mahon’s assistant in the classroom. This is my twenty-third year teaching at Mauldin Elementary School. I had the pleasure of teaching 5th grade for 15 years before I became a kindergarten assistant. I graduated from Mauldin High School and earned my Bachelor’s degree in education from The College of Charleston. I am married and have two beautiful children named Brady and Macie. Brady is a student at Southside Christian and Macie attends Mauldin Middle. My free time is spent at Friday night football games where Macie is on the dance team or at the baseball field watching Brady play baseball. My favorite things to do are spending time with my family going to the lake, sporting events, and vacations. I look forward to an amazing school year working with you and your student!
