Welcome!

Welcome to my site! I am so excited to be teaching you this year! Or if you're a parent or guardian, I am so excited to have your student in my class this year! Together, we are going to be learning so much, and I am looking forward to it. I will be using this site as well as Google Classroom a lot, so please feel free to stay updated by bookmarking this site.

To tell you a little bit about myself, this is my first year at J.L. Mann. I graduated from Clemson University with a degree in English and a degree in Secondary Education. I transferred to Clemson from The University of South Carolina, so I'm definitely conflicted when football season rolls around. It's confusing. (But secretly...I'm a Gamecock fan at heart!)

I love to spend time with my family, my husband, and my dog, Milo. I love to spend time on my own and read. I also love to watch true crime documentaries, reality television, and historical TV dramas. I also enjoy cooking, baking, and trying new restaurants.

I became an English teacher to help students find their voices through reading, writing, thinking, and speaking. I am excited to get to know you and your passions and find ways to help you grow into your voice.
