Melissa Bean

Welcome to ESOL!  This is my eighteenth-year teaching English and my seventh-year at Lakeview Middle School. I teach the ESOL Lift Welcome and Lift Intro classes.  I hold a certification in ESOL (English to Speakers of other Languages) a bachelor’s degree in Middle-Level ELA, and an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership, Clemson University. Currently, I am enrolled in a Spanish immersion program  working on my second language.  

Teaching students who speak languages other than English is very rewarding. The relationships I form with my students are the most important part of my role as an ESOL teacher. I want my students to trust that I will always advocate for them and know that their best interest is my priority.
