Welcome to First Grade!

My name is Kendel Davis and I am so excited to be your child's first grade teacher! This will be my 12th year teaching first grade at Buena Vista Elementary. I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with addition certification in Early Childhood Education from Anderson University and my Masters in Literacy from Clemson Univerity. In my free time I enjoy curling up with a good book, baking a sweet treat, and spending time with my family and friends. 

I am so excited to welcome a new group of first graders. I believe that first grade is such a special time of growth and discovery, and I am committed to helping each child grow and build confidence academically, socially, and emotionally. Together, we will create a classroom filled with fun, engaging, and hands-on learning experiences that spark curiosity and build confidence. I can't wait to see all the amazing things each child will accomplish this year. We are going to have an absolutely incredible year together!
