Welcome Back to School
About Mrs. Dixon's Class
Welcome back to another great school year. Our class consist of 18 wonderful and curious students. Mrs. Gigi and Mrs. Julie are here to assist us with work/task completion, transitions, and related arts. Our class attends the library every Friday to check out books and read with Mrs. Clark and Mrs. Edwards. Please check the announcements and the newsletter for our class happenings.
School Supplies
All students should come prepared to school with the following items: colored pencils, glue sticks, pencils, 1 pack of highlighter, wired headphones that plug into the chromebook (no bluetooth), a single 1 inch binder, dry erase markers, loose leaf notebook paper, and a student planner (recommended).
Knight Shift
We are excited to invite you and your rising 6th grade student to attend our annual Knight S.H.I.F.T. (Schools Helping In Family Transition) on August 10, 2026, 8:30-11:00. This event provides our rising 6th grade students and parents information, skills and expectations for a successful transition to our middle school. During this event, you will meet key staff, walk through a sample schedule, learn about about academic and behavioral expectations, and explore the supports available to help your student thrive at Beck.
Our students will have an abbreviated version of Knight Shift.
