Hi, everyone! I’m thrilled to be a part of the next chapter for Lakeview Middle School! I started my career at Woodmont Middle School teaching middle-level English Language Arts and building a classroom where students were engaged in rigor, driven by an understanding of their own data, and empowered with a sense of belonging. Throughout my years as a teacher, I served in various leadership positions and was privileged to be a part of Woodmont’s rise from unsatisfactory to excellent on the state report card - an experience that affirmed my belief that success is possible for ALL students. Beyond the classroom, I worked to develop disciplinary literacy initiatives, a culture of data ownership, and research-based professional learning – concepts that I’ve focused on through my current dissertation work and as I transitioned into the instructional coach role. I believe my job as a coach is to identify and remove barriers to success through collaborative coaching conversations, co-teaching opportunities, professional development, data dives, or developing more efficient systems/processes. I want to support the work of teachers in a way that brings out the excellence our students are capable of! I’m excited to partner with each of you this year!
