Arrival and Dismissal

ARRIVAL

The front doors open at 7:45 a.m.  Students should enter the building in the following locations:

• Before 8:45 a.m.

  • Car riders and walkers may enter through the front entrance

  • Bus riders may enter through the back bus doorway

• After 8:45 a.m. students may enter only through the front office

Students who arrive early may wait in the A Building  Commons until 8:30 a.m., which is when they are dismissed to go to their 1st Period classroom.  Students may not enter B Building before 8:30 a.m. without a pass from a teacher.

Students who drive and their passengers must stay in their cars until 8:30.  After 8:30 the only students who may remain in the Commons are students finishing their breakfast.  All students are expected to be in their 1st Period classroom ready to begin lessons by 8:45 a.m.

DISMISSAL

Students may not leave campus between 8:45 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. without receiving early dismissal permission through the Attendance Office.

School is dismissed at 3:45 pm. Students must immediately exit the building and go to the car line, student parking lot, or bus loop, depending on their mode of transportation. 

Students staying after school must have permission from a teacher or coach and must report to that teacher or coach no later than 3:55 p.m.

STUDENTS WALKING OFF CAMPUS AFTER SCHOOL

Students who walk off campus after school do so at their own risk. Parents should understand that they are responsible for their child’s safety once the student leaves the school property. In addition, school employees are not responsible for supervising or monitoring students’ safety once they walk off campus.
