Welcome to Mrs. Harding's 3rd - 5th Grade Classroom
Our 3-5 Special Education classroom includes modified curriculum to meet the specific learning needs of students from grades 3-5. Our students each have individually determined goals in Reading, Writing and Math that are specifically designed by a team of professional education specialists. In this classroom we spend each day practicing and learning academics, communication skills, recreation and leisure skills, and personal self-help skills. We use a model of whole group and small group instruction throughout the day to target each individual child’s needs and help them make progress. Students follow an inclusion model for some parts of the day too, such as lunch, recess, related arts, science, and social studies.
In addition to Mrs. Harding, our classroom is supported by two paraprofessionals, Mrs. Amick and Mrs. Hatfield. Both Paraprofessional are experienced in providing individualized support for students with unique learning needs.
