GCS Virtual Program
Eligibility & Enrollment
Greenville County Schools offers GCS students enrolled in brick/mortar schools a variety of online options to supplement their coursework. Both GCVSP (GCS Virtual Program/grades 7-12) and VirtualSC (SC Virtual Program/grades 9-12) are available. See your GCS Counselor for details. (GCVSP Term Information)
Registration is only through the School Counselor at the school where the student is currently enrolled. Students must have access to the internet and to a computer and software that meet Computer Requirements.
All GCS Middle schools and select special programs such as the Fine Arts Center, Career Centers, and Early College Program offer students the opportunity to take high school virtual courses through GCVSP for free during the school day as part of their schedule. See your School Counselor for details. FAQ: GCVSP Free Courses
Most GCVSP courses are offered in semester-length CP and Honors levels and award one unit of High School Credit unless otherwise noted. All courses fall under the South Carolina Uniform Grading Policy and GCS High School Grading Guidelines/Floor for high school courses.
Click on the links below to see Course Offerings. (Not all courses are offered every term and some courses may not make due to low enrollment in any particular term.) To learn more about the schools and programs that "embed" GCVSP courses for free, see your School Counselor.

Unless the school or program has been approved to host free virtual courses embedded in the school's schedule, each GCVSP course requires a fee. Please see your School Counselor for information regarding Payment Options. (Online or US Mail)
