I am thrilled to be going into my 13th year of teaching and joining the 3rd grade team. I graduated from Furman University with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. I continued my education there to complete my Master’s in Learning Disabilities. I have taught in Greenville for twelve years, nine years in 5th and three years in 2nd. I have even taught 5th grade in the Virtual Program for Greenville County Schools. I, also, have completed the L.E.A.D. Institute for Greenville County to develop my skills as a teacher leader.

In my free time, I love spending time with my husband and my daughters, Olivia (9) and Charlee (5). Olivia and Charlee keep us busy playing soccer, which I also help coach. Olivia will be moving up to 4th grade this year at BV! Charlee is our wild child, who loves Reeses and getting into anything and everything she can. She will be starting Kindergarten this year at BV! We have two amazing dogs, Riggs and Penni, and a cat, Fang, that round out our family! We also are die-hard Clemson Fans. Go Tigers!

As a teacher, I believe it is essential to meet every student where they are and help them to succeed. I want students to leave my classroom with a sense of ownership, love of learning, and passion for life! My goal this year is to create a safe and loving learning environment from the minute my students walk through the door. I don't want them to have to worry about anything and know that they are loved! I strive to find new strategies, so that I can meet the needs of all of my students.
