Francys Mesa

I am a native of Venezuela and have been living in the US for 17 years. I taught Spanish Language and Literature for 20 years, 15 of those being at TRHS. This year, I am embarking in a new adventure as I will be teaching Multilingual Learners at TRHS. I hold a bachelor's degree in Modern Language Education with a Major in English from Universidad de Carabobo in Venezuela, completed an Educational Research Grad Program at Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador before coming to the US. I also got a Masters Degree in the Teaching of Spanish Language and Culture from the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca in Spain. I taught English as a Foreign Language and Spanish language and literature in Venezuela. I am also the lead sponsor for "La Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica Capítulo Cervantes" here at Travelers Rest High School.

I am happily married and have a son who is the center of my life and is beginning seventh grade this year. I love traveling, cooking, and entertaining.

I am truly excited about the upcoming year and all the learning opportunities it'll provide to all of us. I look forward to working with you this year.

TRHS Grading Policy

All grades for your student will be posted within seven (7) calendar days from the date the assignment/assessment is collected. Major projects and lengthy term papers will have grades posted within fourteen (14) calendar days of collecting the assignment.

Make Up Work Policy

Every student who has been absent needs to check their google classroom daily for make up work and materials. You can also email me at: fmesa@greenville.k12.sc.us. According to TRHS policy, all students have 5 days to make up their assignments in case of excused absences. If the absence is unexcused, make up work will have no credit.
