I am excited to be a part of the Fountain Inn HS Family! This is my 12th year of teaching public school and 4th year at Fountain Inn High School. 

I am a native of Columbia, SC where I attended Hand MS and Dreher HS (c/o '99 Go Blue Devils!).  Prior to Fountain Inn, I served as the Director of Bands at Southside High School in Greenville, SC for 8 years.  Under my direction, the Southside Tiger Pride Band has consistently earned Superiors ratings in SCBDA Concert Performance Assessment.  In addition, the marching band has consistently appeared at the SCBDA State Marching Band Championships in Columbia, SC.  

Prior to teaching at Southside, I held the position of Adjunct Trumpet Professor at Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, SC and Adjunct Professor of Trumpet at Winston-Salem State University, NC.  I have taught private lessons in North and South Carolina and consistently had students in Region and All-State bands.

As a performer, I have appeared with various artists including the Temptations, the Moody Blues, The Irish Tenors, and The Tams and performed with symphonies throughout North and South Carolina. 

I hold a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of South Carolina in 2003, Master of Music Trumpet Performance from the University of South Carolina in 2005 and Performance Artist’s Diploma from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in 2006. I am a  member of the South Carolina Band Director’s Association (SCBDA) and South Carolina Music Educators Association (SCMEA).

I live in Simpsonville, SC and enjoy spending time with my wife Kendra and sons Noah (he's 8) and David (3).
