Hey there!  My name is Mrs. Alnatour and I am an MLP Teacher at Fountain Inn High School.  I have been teaching for the past 20 years and have taught multilingual learners for the past four years. I am happily married and have two children and three cats.

I am from Palestine.  When I was three years old, my family decided to move to America so that my siblings and I could have a good education and a better life.  Since we only spoke Arabic at home, I didn't know any English when I started Kindergarten.  So, I understand the struggle of trying to learn a new language.  It is now my time to pay it forward and provide my English Language Learners with the same love and support that I received as a student.

As a lifelong learner, I am continuously seeking to improve myself professionally in order to best meet the needs of my students.  I have a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts from California Lutheran University and a Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from American College of Education.  I also earned my ESOL certification in 2019.

My mission is to  is to provide a friendly, supportive environment that encourages my English Language Learners to be curious, independent risk-takers who are proud of their heritage and feel like they can make a difference in this world. 

I have a motto that I live by and share it with all of my students. . . "Live and Learn".  In life we will face struggles and make mistakes. However, it is only through these experiences that we can grow and develop into who we are today.  I am looking forward to embrace, empower and inspire you to grow to your fullest potential this school year!

¡Hola! Mi nombre es Sra. Alnatour y yo soy profesora de MLP en la escuela secundaria Fountain Inn. He estado enseñando durante los últimos 20 años y he enseñado a estudiantes multilingües durante los últimos cuatro años. Estoy felizmente casado y tengo dos hijos y tres gatos.

Soy de Palestina. Cuando tenía tres años, mi familia decidió mudarse a Estados Unidos para que mis hermanos y yo pudiéramos tener una buena educación y una vida mejor. Como solo hablábamos árabe en casa, no sabía nada de inglés cuando comencé el jardín de infancia. Entonces, entiendo la lucha de tratar de aprender un nuevo idioma. Ahora es mi momento de devolver el favor y brindarles a mis estudiantes del idioma inglés el mismo amor y apoyo que recibí como estudiante.

Como aprendiz de por vida, busco continuamente mejorarme profesionalmente para satisfacer mejor las necesidades de mis alumnos. Tengo una Licenciatura en Artes Liberales de la Universidad Luterana de California y una Maestría en Currículo e Instrucción del Colegio Americano de Educación. También obtuve mi certificación ESOL en 2019.

Mi misión es proporcionar un ambiente amigable y de apoyo que aliente a mis estudiantes del idioma inglés a ser curiosos, independientes y audaces, orgullosos de su herencia y sentir que pueden marcar una diferencia en este mundo.

Tengo un lema por el que vivo y lo comparto con todos mis alumnos. . . "Vive y aprende". En la vida enfrentaremos luchas y cometeremos errores. Sin embargo, es solo a través de estas experiencias que podemos crecer y desarrollarnos en lo que somos hoy. ¡Espero abrazarte, capacitarte e inspirarte para que crezcas a tu máximo potencial este año escolar!
