WHAT IS entrepreneurial design?
Entrepreneurial design, also called design thinking, is an innovative approach to solving real-world problems with users in mind. Students collaborate with peers and community leaders to engineer solutions with empathy for the consumer as the driving motivation. For a detailed look at the process, see the diagram below from Stanford's d.school, where design thinking was born.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
Design thinking teaches students to be active observers of the world around them and gives them confidence to make positive change. Companies and organizations across the globe employ this process to innovate and better meet the needs of their consumers. These skills empower students to be successful leaders who are truly changing the world.
