The 2025-2026 goal of the Eastside High School Improvement Council is to support EHS by actively seeking and acting on feedback from all stakeholders and recommending sustainable policies that align with the school's mission, vision, and five-year plan. SIC aims to enhance communication between the school and home by creatively reaching all families, including those who speak languages other than English.
A School Improvement Council (SIC) is:

required at every K-12 public school by law
Provides input and feedback on strategic improvement plans and updates
By law, every school must create five-year Plan and update annually
Includes reading plans required by “Read to Succeed” Act
Assists school in implementing improvement activities
Activities may be from Plan or developed by SIC
Monitors and reports on progress toward improvement goals
