Dr. York

Long, long ago, in a galaxy closer to home, I began my teaching career.  The 2025-2026 school year marks my 31st year teaching Middle School Social Studies and my eighth year as part of the Lakeview family.  I am passionate about history and geography, helping students reach their potential. I am married and have two children: a son and a daughter, and two grandsons: one who is a fourth grader this year and one who will turn three in January 2026. In 1983, I graduated from Bob Jones University in Greenville with a major in History and a minor in Social Studies. In the fall of 2012, I began graduate studies at North Greenville University, completing a Master's in Education in 2014.  In May of 2021, I completed a Doctorate of Education.
